1modelSupermodel and fashion designer Ashley Graham has enjoyed a ‘white’ Christmas season with husband Justin Ervin. But not snow white — powder white.

The model ended an extremely successful year on a powder-white beach in the Seychelles, posing in a beautiful white lace beach dress slashed to the thigh.

Posting the seconds-long hyperloop gif of her standing there on the beach with her hair waving in the breeze to her 2.9 million followers on Instagram, all she said was “S E Y C H E L L E S” – and got more than 483,000 likes.

Although she’s been modelling for many years, 2016 was the year Graham really became recognised as a supermodel, landing the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and shaking up the plus-sized debate.

2model3modelThe couple evidently had a lot to celebrate over the past week – Christmas, Ervin’s birthday and New Year. Graham posted a picture of herself in a striking black bikini standing next to her husband on the beach, with the caption “Happy Birthday to my #1!”

In Sunday’s Instagram post, she appears fresh-faced in a head-and-shoulders shot with the edge of an infinity pool and the blurry backdrop of coconut palms and beach below, commenting she was “all smiles” celebrating the first day of 2017 at the Four Seasons in Seychelles on the western coast of the main island of Mahe.

An 115-island archipelago dotted around the western Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa, the Seychelles is an idyllic getaway for many of the world’s rich and famous, combining luxury, year-round tropical weather and complete privacy, leaving the individual to choose whether or not to share images of their getaway via social media.

The couple arrived in the Seychelles after their trip to Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, where they went on camel rides in the desert and experienced West African cuisine and hospitality in the company of welcoming locals. The body-positive activist and her husband attended Christmas Eve service at the Keur Moussa abbey near Dakar before relaxing next to a pool on Christmas Day with a glass of wine and a refreshing watermelon.
