2concert‘An entertaining and emotional evening’

Last weekend’s fund-raising musical show in aid of wheelchair-bound patient Vincent Isaac has been described as “very entertaining and emotional”.

One of the hardest aspects of a life-altering event is learning to adjust and developing the means to adjust.

That’s the case for Vincent who is suffering from Arnold-Chiari malformation (CMs) type one.

The concert on Saturday was organised by Tanmi Production to raise money for Vincent to be able to undergo surgery which will hopefully put him ‘back on his 1concertfeet again’, like the show’s theme said.

Many artists were present to give their support to Vincent such as Philip Toussaint, Jean-Marc Volcy, Patrick Victor, Regie, Ion Kid, Jakim, Jany De Letourdie, John Vital, Simon Amade, Joenise Juliette, Vurna, Joseph Sinon, Ketty Melanie, M.J., the Tanmi band and dancers.

Joseph Sinon, the leader of Tanmi Production, stated that the show was really entertaining and emotional even though the venue (ICCS) was not full to capacity.

“The show was fantastic and touching, even though we did not have a big crowd present. But those present wanted to contribute for a great cause. People present described the show as one of the best shows they ever attended. All the artists were totally encouraged to deliver a good performance on that night,” he said.

He said everyone wants to see Vincent – a qualified nurse, musician and actor – back on his feet again and continue to succeed.

“Tanmi Production wants to see him get back on his feet again. For now he is not able to work as he is stuck in a wheelchair. For him to get better he needs to undergo surgery. So we are asking everyone to pitch in and raise funds for that good cause,” he said.

In total Vincent needs $15,000 (R195,524) for him to be able to undergo surgery abroad.

Vincent pointed out that the show on Saturday was memorable and will always remain engraved in his heart.

“It was a show of a lifetime, I really appreciated it. It was emotional to witness the number of people and musicians who came down to support my cause. My target is $15,000 (R195,524). I am also waiting for other sponsors. I can honestly say that by the end of this week I will reach my target and be able to undergo surgery. I was also approached by the Ministry of Health who also came forward to support me,” Vincent said.

Joseph Sinon & Vurna will host another fund-raising concert at the Oxygen Night Club this coming Saturday in support of Vincent. Tickets cost R125 apiece.

If you want to help Vincent get back on his feet again do not hesitate to contact him on 2599230.
