The Seychelles Pension Fund (SPF) has launched a new lively website as part of activities to commemorate and celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The website can be accessed at www.pensionfund.sc
The launch took place yesterday afternoon at the SPF’s head office, Victoria in the presence of the fund’s chief executive (CEO) Lekka Nair, as well as management and other staff.
The aim of redeveloping the website is to improve online visibility and provide easier and better access to members of the public. The first website of the SPF was launched in 2006.
Mrs Nair said the website will surely improve the services the SPF offers, and will deliver better information for stakeholders and clients.
“The aim of redeveloping the website is to better meet the expectations of our customers, improve our online visibility and transparency. The new website has incorporated new developments in web applications and includes novel features and links to more portals especially the social media such as Facebook, and YouTube,” she said.
She added that the website represents intense planning to make it easier to access application forms and many more services online.
“I am particular pleased with the team that did this project – Switch – and our own IT marketing team. They have together avoided taking the easy route of simply doing more of the same. What we see today is the result of intense planning, long toiling hours, inputs from many committed staff and other personnel, and sheer diligence from many, to ensure that we have a really updated, good and user-friendly website,” she said.
The redevelopment presents up-to-date, relevant information contents which make it easier for visitors to get information they seek. The homepage provides information about SPF and the range of benefits available.
The deputy IT manager Nane William pointed out that the website also features a new application.
“We have also added a novelty to the new website – a pension fund calculator which allows members to calculate their personal salary and employment record in the five past years to get an estimate of their retirement pension. Also the website can be accessed on any electronic devices such as laptops and mobiles,” she added.
Other additions to the website include the management and organisation structure, contributions, benefits, investments, properties, latest news and many others.
